Step 1: Calculate the Criticality Score for Each Failure Mode

The formula to calculate the Criticality Score (C) is:

C=(Pressure Score×Pressure Weightage)+(Temperature Score×Temperature Weightage)) C=(4×0.3)+(3×0.7)=1.2+2.1=3.3

 

Step 2: Calculate the RPN for Each Failure Mode

The formula to calculate the RPN is:

RPN=Probability (P)×Detectability (D)×Criticality Score

For Asset ID: AS011 (Leakage)

RPN=3×4×3.3=40.2

For Asset ID: AS012 (Corrosion)

RPN=2×5×3.3=33.0


Step 3: Calculate the Functionality RPN

The total Functionality RPN is the sum of all individual asset RPNs:

Functionality RPN=40.2+33.0=73.2
