DESCRIPTION 
Enable back-office users to view the Media associated with a unit’s profile in the SMART360 platform. The feature will include a sub-tab under the “Profile” tab where users can view the geographical map of the unit, along with images and videos of the unit for detailed visualization and verification.

USER STORY

As a back-office user,
I want to view Media of a Plant,
so that I can visually verify and manage the associated assets effectively.

 

STORYTELLING

Maria, a back-office user at Samoa Water Authority, is tasked with verifying the visual condition and geographical placement of a Plant. Navigating through SMART360, she selects the plant, opens the detailed view, and clicks on the “Profile” tab. Under the “Media” sub-tab, she sees a map pinpointing the exact location of the Plant, along with a gallery of images and videos showing the unit’s structure and surroundings. This feature allows Maria to complete her verification seamlessly without visiting the site physically.

 

GOALS

  • Enable back-office users to view a gallery of images and videos related to a Plant.

  • Provide a map displaying the geographical location of the Plant.

  • Facilitate effective visualization for verification and decision-making.

MAJOR STEPS INVOLVED

  1. Back-office user logs into SMART360.

  2. Navigates to the “Asset Module” and selects the plant of interest.

  3. Clicks on the “Eye” icon to open the detailed view of the plant.

  4. Clicks on the “Profile” tab.

  5. Switches to the “Images and Videos” sub-tab.

  6. Views the map of the Plant’s location.

  7. Browses through the gallery of images and videos associated with the unit.

 

BUSINESS RULES

  1. Only authorized users can access the detailed view of plants and the “Media” sub-tab.

  2. Media files must adhere to the following specifications

    • Supported formats: JPEG, PNG, MP4, HEIC.

  3. The gallery should allow pagination for efficient browsing.

  4. Error messages:

    • “No images or videos available” if no media is associated with the unit.

Enable users to view specific images and videos related to a Plant. Users can click on any image or video thumbnail to open a detailed view. The detailed view of an image allows zooming and navigation, while the video view enables playback. After reviewing, the user can click on the Cancel button to return to the list view of images and videos.

Sophia, an asset manager at Samoa Water Authority, needs to verify the latest inspection images and videos of a Plant. She navigates to the Plant Profile > Maps and Media tab and clicks on a specific image to view it in detail. Using the zoom feature, she confirms the condition of the unit. She then clicks on a video to watch a playback of the Unit's operation. After reviewing, Sophia uses the Cancel button to return seamlessly to the list view, ensuring she can efficiently navigate through other media files.

MAJOR STEPS INVOLVED

  1. User logs into SMART360.

  2. Navigates to Asset Module > Asset > Plant > Profile > Media.

  3. The system displays a list view of all associated images and videos.

  4. User clicks on a specific image or video thumbnail.

  5. The system opens a detailed view of the selected image or video:

    • For images: Zoom and navigation options are enabled.

    • For videos: Playback controls (play, pause, fullscreen) are available.

  6. User clicks the Cancel button to exit the detailed view and return to the list view.

 

BUSINESS RULES

  • Only authorized users can view images and videos of a Plant.

  • Images and videos must be displayed in a list view.

  • Clicking on an image opens a detailed view with:

    • Zoom in/out functionality.

    • Navigation options (e.g., next/previous images).

  • Clicking on a video opens a detailed view with:

    • Video playback controls (play, pause, stop, fullscreen).

  • Error messages should display for the following scenarios:

    • "Unable to load the selected image/video. Please try again later."

    • "No images or videos available" for plants without associated media.

  • Clicking on Cancel from the detailed view returns the user to the list view screen.

  • The list view should update dynamically if new media is added or removed.

  3. In the detailed view, clicks on the Profile tab and then on the Maps and Media sub-tab.

      • The user clicks on image or video Download icon.

      • The system downloads the file in its original format (e.g., JPG, PNG, MP4).

  5. The user accesses the downloaded files on their local system.

 

BUSINESS RULES

  1. Access Control: Only authorized users can download images and videos.

  2. File Formats Supported:

    • Images: JPG, PNG

    • Videos: MP4, AVI

  3. File Download:

    • Files retain their original names during individual downloads.

  4. Error Handling:
